Netta Solway

M.Sc Candidate

Netta Solway is an M.Sc. student in the DDLab at the Technion’s Faculty of Architecture and Town Planning. She holds a Bachelor of Design (B.Des.) in Industrial Design from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design.

Building upon her undergraduate background – which explored multispecies habitat systems for building facades to support urban wildlife – Netta’s academic interests lie at the intersection of industrial design, product systems, and urban ecology.

In her graduate studies, she aims to explore multispecies design, focusing on how modular interventions can integrate both flora and fauna into the urban fabric. She is driven by a passion for bridging object design and architectural spaces, aspiring to create functional sanctuaries that support local biodiversity and foster resilient, harmonious human-nature relations in built environments. At the DDLab, Netta looks forward to combining physical prototyping with biomimetic morphologies, seeking to contribute thoughtful design solutions that help reconcile urban expansion with urban ecology.
