Ph.D. Candidate
PhD Student, Technical University of Munich & Disrupt.Design Lab, Technion
I am a PhD student at the Technical University of Munich and the Disrupt.Design Lab at the Technion. I hold a Bachelor’s in Biology and a Master’s in Ecology, Evolution, and Systematics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich. My research focuses on simulating the colonization and development of plant and animal communities on and around building envelopes.
I am passionate about understanding how different architectural designs influence the composition of the simulated communities.
In collaboration with Surayyn Selvan, a fellow PhD candidate, I am also simulating the colonization of plants on building envelopes optimized to promote plant diversity. Through this work, I aim to contribute to sustainable architectural design that should promote biodiversity in urban environments.
